Application Engineer – Audio AI, Signal Processing & Simulation

At Treble Technologies, we are pioneering the future of sound. Our cutting-edge simulation and audio data platform is transforming audio AI and how sound is incorporated into the design of the physical world. Our customers include many of the world’s leading and most prestigious companies across AI, consumer electronics, pro-audio, and the building industry. Together with them, we are improving global well-being and connectivity through better audio intelligence and sound experiences.

Founded in 2020, Treble is a fast-rising, highly ambitious audio technology company that has quickly earned global recognition for its technology and vision. Backed by strong funding and multiple international awards, we have assembled a world-class, international team and are now entering the next phase of our expansion.

As we continue to grow, we are now seeking an Application Engineer to join our team. This is a broad, hands-on technical role at the intersection of acoustics, audio signal processing, machine learning, simulation, and customer engagement.

About the role:

As an Application Engineer at Treble, you will work closely with our product, research, and commercial teams, as well as directly with customers. Your role spans method development, benchmarking, quality assurance, technical content creation, customer onboarding and training, and hands-on support for advanced customer use cases.

You will help ensure that Treble’s products are technically excellent, well understood, and successfully applied to some of the most demanding problems in acoustic simulation, spatial audio and audio AI.

Your tasks include:

  • Develop, validate, and benchmark acoustic simulation and audio data generation pipelines
  • Design and run experiments to evaluate accuracy, performance, robustness, and scalability of our platform
  • Support advanced customers with complex use cases in acoustic simulation, audio signal processing, and audio machine learning
  • Create high-quality technical content such as tutorials, examples, application notes, and demos
  • Support customer onboarding through technical training, documentation, and best-practice guidance
  • Assess audio algorithm performance and generalization using simulated data
  • Collaborate with product and R&D teams to translate real-world customer needs into product improvements
  • Act as a technical bridge between research, engineering, and customer-facing teams
  • Develop custom technical solutions for key prospects and customers
  • Represent Treble at selected trade shows and conferences globally

What we are looking for:

  • Strong background in acoustics, physics-based simulation, audio signal processing, audio machine learning, or a related field
  • MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline
  • Strong technical intuition combined with excellent people skills
  • Solid programming skills
  • Clear communicator who enjoys explaining complex technical topics
  • Self-driven, hands-on mindset and comfort working across research, engineering, and customer-facing contexts, often on challenging, open-ended technical problems
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with ML workflows, synthetic data generation, or evaluation of AI models
  • Familiarity with FEM or geometric acoustic simulation
  • Experience creating developer-facing documentation or technical marketing materials
  • Background in audio hardware, voice tech, audio AI or similar

If you’re excited about this role but your experience does not perfectly match every qualification, we still encourage you to apply. You may be a great fit for this or other roles at Treble.

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation, including stock options
  • Challenging and meaningful work at the cutting edge of acoustics, audio AI, and simulation
  • Collaboration with world-leading customers and partners building next-generation audio systems
  • A key role in shaping how our technology is used in real-world applications
  • Highly flexible and family-friendly work environment built on trust and autonomy
  • Strong team culture with high ambition and collaboration
  • Competitive benefits and first-class facilities
  • Comprehensive relocation package
