About Us

Optiml is a PropTech startup with a mission to reduce costs & emissions in real estate through our automated decision-making software. In April 2024, we launched our product in the DACH region and the UK (soon US), and now, we’re at the stage where we need to ramp up our operations to meet demand.

We spun out of ETH Zurich in 2022 and have recently raised a $4M pre-seed extension from top-tier US and EU funds, including Innovation Endeavors (the fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt), Planet A, BitStone, and Kompas. Our software has gained significant recognition in the industry lately, winning some of the most prestigious awards for a (PropTech) startup: ULI PropTech Innovation, ZIA PropTech of the Year, W.A. Tasks

• Develop the company’s core API, application logic & workflows.
• Prototype new solutions to solve our customers' problems.
• Own the whole development lifecycle: specs to production implementation.
• Collaborate with peers on specs, architecture, design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer support to build our internal tooling.

Experience

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Python.
• Track record of shipping high quality features fast.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Swiss or EU citizenship.
  
  
  

Bonus

• Startup experience.
• Interest/experience in energy simulations.
• Experience with C++, optimization, ML.
• Experience in Devops: Docker, Terraform, GCP, CI/CD, Monitoring.
• Experience with Frontend: React, FastAPI.
