We help security teams move from simply managing endpoints to securing the interaction layer between humans, AI agents, and enterprise resources.
As a Senior Sales Engineer at Backslash Security, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers and strategic prospects throughout their AI security journey.
You will partner closely with Account Executives to help CISOs, security leaders, endpoint teams, and IT organizations understand and mitigate the emerging risks associated with AI adoption, AI agents, and modern endpoints.
This role combines deep technical expertise, cybersecurity knowledge, and customer-facing excellence.
You will lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and architectural discussions while helping customers build confidence in adopting AI securely.
The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, endpoint protection, AI technologies, and helping customers solve complex security challenges.
What You'll Do
Drive Technical Sales Success
• Partner with Account Executives to achieve and exceed quarterly revenue goals.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer security architectures,
AI adoption initiatives, endpoint environments, and business objectives.
• Act as the primary technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
Demonstrate Business and Technical Value
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases.
• Present to audiences ranging from security analysts and endpoint engineers to CISOs and executive leadership.
• Conduct whiteboard sessions, technical workshops, architecture reviews, and executive briefings.
• Clearly articulate how Backslash Security helps organizations safely deploy and
scale AI technologies.
Lead Proof of Value (POV) Engagements
• Design and execute successful proof-of-value engagements.
• Define success criteria, deployment plans, and measurable business outcomes.
• Guide customers through implementation and validation of the platform within their environments.
• Translate technical findings into executive-level business value.
Become a Trusted AI Security Advisor
• Educate customers on emerging threats related to AI agents, generative AI, copilots, autonomous workflows, and endpoint security.
• Advise security and IT teams on best practices for AI governance, risk management, and secure adoption.
• Stay current on AI security trends, threat landscapes, and regulatory developments.
Influence Product and Market Strategy
• Provide product feedback based on customer interactions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to improve customer outcomes.
• Represent Backslash Security at conferences, webinars, industry events, and technical communities.
Continuously Learn and Grow
• Invest time in developing expertise in AI security, endpoint security, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies.
• Maintain a strong understanding of customer environments and evolving attack
techniques targeting AI-enabled organizations.
Requirements
What You'll Bring
Drive Technical Sales Excellence
• 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering.
• Proven success supporting enterprise and strategic sales opportunities.
• Exceptional presentation, demonstration, and storytelling skills.
• Experience engaging technical stakeholders as well as executive leadership teams.
Cybersecurity Expertise
• Strong understanding of endpoint security technologies.
• Experience with enterprise security architecture and security operations workflows.
• Understanding of modern attack techniques, threat actors, and incident response processes.
AI & Emerging Technology Knowledge
• Familiarity with AI platforms, copilots, AI agents, LLMs, and enterprise AI adoption initiatives.
• Understanding of AI-related risks including:
o Sensitive data exposure
o Prompt injection
o Unauthorized AI actions
o Agent-to-agent interactions
o Shadow AI usage
o AI governance and compliance challenges
Enterprise Infrastructure Experience
• Hands-on knowledge of:
o Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
o Endpoint management platforms
o Security monitoring and logging solutions
Personal Attributes

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

• Experience with Endpoint security vendors
• Experience selling or supporting AI security, data security, insider risk, or identity security solutions.
• Knowledge of SOC operations and threat hunting.
• Experience working with Fortune 500 customers.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and emerging AI regulations.
• Startup or high-growth SaaS company experience.
